Heroines E.P. – Caz

I love it that I now have over 100 subs on YouTube! Thank you guys! Also, I have 21 subs for my email too! Thank you guys! That’s really all I can say right now! If you haven’t seen my Thank You video, then go here! I am trying my hardest, and I really do appreciate the massive support! Please, share your experience to others if you want to! I would love more people to come and see what I do! It would be awesome!

Name: Heroines E.P.

Producer: Caz

Release Date: 6/12/2011

Vocaloid: Miku (Append Dark), Luka, and Gumi

Statistics are from my own memory, but I learned them from VocaDB!

Caz is, by far, one of the most underappreciated producers in the Vocaloid kingdom. The bad part is that he has not many songs, but they are perfect in my sole opinion. When I started listening to Vocaloid, I listened to Caz; Angel Bullet, Valkyrie Dance, Corruption Garden, and most of the rest on this E.P. I give you props Caz, because you are a master at your work…

You’re like a poem about life: by that I mean, you don’t have many songs, but you make it so enjoyable to listen to, that I personally feel that listening to your limited array of songs allows me and others to appreciate these pieces of art more than if you had more! A fleeting petal, only coming back to voice one more song, then leaving until you feel like coming back!

Detail Review:

1) Horizon View

Emotion: (⋂‿⋂) – Love It!

As a Metalcore fan, this is one of those that will catch your ear as something very relatable to it. Our diva of aquamarine takes on the first song without using growls! Yes, there are growls in this album!

This is literally an average Metalcore song, only sung by a Jpop idol. Nonetheless, it doesn’t sell this album short. With its powerful guitar and high strung drums, having only a short 2 minute 30 second window, it will appeal to the more hardcore Miku fan that appreciates harsh instruments bashing around!

Listening to this will show you what the entire album will be like- but don’t worry, there will still be surprises here and there to keep you anxious!

2) Foolish ‘13’ People

Emotion: (⋂‿⋂) – Love It!

I don’t honestly know why, but Luka sounds so cute in the chorus. Of course, this is coming after her extremely demon type growl!

This is an upbeat song that has a heavy drop with the djent in some places. I don’t know what the ‘13’ in between the ‘Foolish People’ but it seems like a good fit. I’m sure if I look up the lyrics I could… oh wait- I DON’T KNOW WHERE TO FIND THEM! It seems that the places that have lyrics only carry them for a few Vocaloid songs.

I wish, I wish, I was a finch, so I could fly to get the lyrics! Yeah, I have no idea why I’m saying that!

This song is a direct link to the last song, so if you buy this one, buy the other one, or vice versa. They go good together! They were literally made to go together. You can’t get more appropriate than that!

3) Angel Bullet

Sawbat Approved

Listen to this masterpiece! That is if you are into Vocaloid growls. Either way, I love this song- to the point where I made an, admittedly slightly poor, English cover! I don’t think I’m ready to upload yet! I’m kinda scared!

On to the track, Angel Bullet talks about the fall of heaven and the angels. Luka is the heroine in this mad masquerade, and boy does she make me tingle… that sounded wrong. I have tried to interpret the lyrics over the years- yes, I like it that much- and I get this when listening:

Angels grow jealous of man, wanting to feel their feeble understanding. Upon doing this, they disgrace their God, and are soon launched into a war of ideals and beliefs. Every evil spirit believes what he does is right! This song is the perspective of an angel that chose the side of God! Will this fight, and the appeal of the new thoughts of the rebelling angels, cause this angel to in turn, morph into something that is absent of grace. Literally, and metaphorically, the heaven that the angel resided in, is now crumbling before us in this song! Also, this angel’s got one badass gun!

If you just listen to this song, try to feel the power, I will put the mp3 under here just for this one song, because it’s my favorite of Luka’s and might be my favorite Vocaloid song?

4) Cried Out

Emotion: (⋂‿⋂) – Love It!

Yay, my favorite producer, and my favorite Vocaloid, Gumi!

The starting is much like Foolish ‘13’ People. But the way Gumi is arranged in this song, shows just how different she is to the rest of the girls! It has a fast rhythm that will make you headbang slowly! Yes, you can headbang slowly- it’s called “bangsway” and don’t take that to heart because I just pulled that out of my butt!

With a more popish tune in Gumi’s singing, it sounds like something Yuyoyuppe would make back in the day! Gumi begins to scream her lungs out about 3/4th of the way to the end of the song, but it is just an isolated thing. I feel a little bit better after listening to this song!

5) A Tail of the Wind

Emotion: (⋂‿⋂) – Love It!

There is a fascinating ending here, and it changes the whole shift of the album. It’s like this one takes from Foolish ‘13’ People too, but with Luka singing much softer… at the beginning. Towards the end it gets a massive djent dose!

It really does feel like an end to something. If I were to recommend one song, I would recommend the whole E.P. because you don’t make the rules, I do what I want! (-_-*)
